Yep, sure thing. This is more in a context of end-user products that tends to have linear release stream and shorter release cycles.

So what do you guys think? I am really curious to try just the date as a version number, but it seems just too alien and unconventional. The only real-life example I am aware of is Kuznetsov's iproute2 tool for Linux (or just ip ). It us

For those on Windows, here is a bit of code that can be used to validate Authenticode signature of the update package. https://github.com/apankrat/assorted/blob/master/validate_pa... Basically the idea is to get an Authenticode certificat

I know exactly how to handle this as I did it before and it worked really well. 1. Make sure the feature can be completely hidden from the UI. 2. Add an option somewhere in Advanced section of Preferences that toggles the visibility of th

Have you at all checked if graphic designers need this sort of functionality? I tinker with pixel perfect designs quite extensively and zooming in is the way to get more precision out of mouse. Few designers on Dribbble posted videos show

Since we seem to be sharing the numbers now, let me add my 2c. I ran the Hamachi service [1] with 3 mil registered accounts off 4 co-located servers at a cost of about $700/mo in total. The servers were mid-range 1U Dell boxes, each costin

It does not tell apart between these, no. It simply checks if there is any color fringing going on after a glyph is rasterized.

That's my stuff. The page has been up for about 3 months now and the stats will go up in a week or two. Also, about a month ago I amended the test script to check which fonts are installed on visitor's machine. I think it could make a fairl

Yeah, I guess the biggest issue is someone plugging in john@acmecorp.com just to test the subscription form, and then actual John getting a maillist message and tagging it as a spam. The question here is if the same John would or would no

FooBarWidget got a good point though. When two blocks are explictly tied into a parent-child relationship, it gives the allocator valuable locality information. It is another matter that halloc separates allocation and block binding steps,
