Agree, found this really moving and thought provoking.

I was 24 in 2015 and not in tech or as security minded as I am now when I received the test as a Christmas present. Obviously now I wouldn’t have dared do it, but it’s too late. Lacked the foresight at the time.

Very sad. I remember watching coverage of the events when I was a kid on G4 TV (video game TV channel!) and being so excited to see all the new trailers. I would have friends come over and we would eat pizza and watch it all. Now everything

Same in Fort Collins CO. I think the director of EPB broadband headed the Connexion service here at the start. Also in Loveland, Estes Park. Incredibly good service for cheap.

Yep, just had my ISP take my SFP ONT back for a regular RJ45 ONT so I could use a different firewall with RJ45 only WAN. Hard to find a good box with SFP WAN.

Plus one for Firewall. Gold SE replaced a pfSense Netgate SG-2100. Works well and easy to manage but tons of features. Can’t believe I spent $300 + on the Netgate that couldn’t handle 1 Gbps traffic WITHOUT IDS/IPS turned on. Even a $5

I did all this with TrueNAS and nothing ever worked right so I just bought a Synology and I haven’t had issues since. There is real benefit I think in the manual approach, you’ll learn so much. But at some point I just want to watch stuff o

This is what I’ve done. I was never “into” YouTube so don’t get the hubbub, but for movies and TV shows a good public tracker and Transmission are great. Add a cheap ereader and libgen and even better. Better than that? A cheap paperback.

Mine was Away with Jennifer Garner. Good first season with good characters, then BLAM cancelled. Although I suspect that one didn’t have a ton of viewers.

I wouldn’t be able to do it until Asahi Linux is totally done. Paying 1.5k for a laptop that doesn’t respect you is quite a big ask. They’d have to pay me to use Mac OS, as someone would have to pay me to use Windows. I’m glad these options

Just need other states to follow suit. However, I personally haven’t dealt with hidden fees and don’t know how prevalent they are in the US. Is it a widespread issue? I suppose none of the companies I do business with have them.

Is anti-corporate a bad thing? Is activism also bad? Aren’t all words made up? The word does indeed refer to something. Just because you disagree with it doesn’t mean it doesn’t exist.

I see the author’s point. His friend’s suicide affected him greatly. However I think this is somewhat a selfish point of view. His friend based on his description sounds like they were truly suffering, and he is upset about how that made hi
