Hi, this is actually pretty important for my business. I've been waiting for the driver to be released for a year now. We got the binary a few months ago under NDA, but open sourcing it, is next level for us. What I wrote about this on

You aren't wrong, but the important question is: "If they decided to change, could they actually do it?"

I wrote this on Twitter under my Hot Aisle account. We deploy AMD hardware and make it for rent to anyone that wants it. -- I don’t think people realize how big this is. When we started, we wanted to virtualize GPUs, meaning allocate 1 GPU

Don't forget that you can buy fairly inexpensive adapters for the batteries. So, you can run your Dewalt on your Milwaukee batteries and not feel vendor locked.

I did out of curiosity. Remember that Github feeds AI, new developers use AI to generate code, now what is the lowest bar of asking AI "if this code is safe".

Loss leader. It is uber/airbnb. Book revenue, regardless of economics, and then debt finance against that. Hope one day to lock in customers, or raise prices, or sell the company.

Cerebras (and Groq) has the problem of using too much die for compute and not enough for memory. Their method of scaling is to fan out the compute across more physical space. This takes more dc space, power and cooling, which is a huge issu

A box of AMD MI300x (1.5TB of memory) is much less than $500k and AMD made sure to have day zero support with vLLM. That said, I'm obviously biased but you're probably better off renting it.
