This is a PDF of the 1st edition of another book by the same author. There is a 2nd edition, which is an excellent but outdated text covering 2D game programming.

What you are wanting is this book: "Tricks of the 3D Game Programming Gurus" by Andre LaMothe. The book teaches you how to write a 3D software rasterizer from first principles. The first part of the book is nothing but a well writ

I've found work from both friends and recruiters. People love to hate on recruiters, and for good reason. If you can find a handful that are not terrible though, they can send along 3-6 month contracts. I've also been connected wi

This is a great suggestion as long as you don't give recruiters access directly. Talk to recruiters, ask them for good jobs that you yourself add to a curated job board that your dev audience has access to. You can probably negotiate ~

The pseudo-code of BFS is all of 20 lines, and that's accounting for a graph possibly containing cycles. A graph without cycles (such as a tree) would be even simpler/shorter. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bre

I'm still excited about Python/Django, though everything I have to say about it would be just as true for Ruby/RoR. It's a great language to work with built on top of a solid framework that's been around for a decad

Without founder level equity in the company, it's simply time to move on. Life is too short to keep working a job that you are not happy at, especially if you are in the lucky minority of people with highly sought after skills.

If they required of you to implement once-and-only-once reliable delivery of messages over a network, then I would argue they don't really understand the problem themselves. This blog post does a pretty good job of describing the probl
