Tangentially related, but this site (and its editor, Tyler Rogoway) are my go-to news source for anything military aviation related. Consistently great reporting. He’s worth a follow on Twitter [0] if this sort of thing is of any interest t

Fellow blade enthusiast here, so I love the idea. A minor data thing: when I search for “LT Wright” under brand, there are three entries. They just need to be merged.

I had that 20S for years. Great calculator. Display went bad so I got rid of it. I wish I’d explored fixing it instead. In spite of having no shortage of calculator apps at my disposal, I missed having a physical calculator so I actually bo

This is exactly it. You get a similar experience with the old radiators powered by a boiler. Both have the added advantage of not having as many issues with humidity as say forced air heating, which dries the air out as it heats it. I grew

Hi Jessamyn! I read Soul of a New Machine for the first time just 3 years ago, even though I’m old enough to remember seeing it in the computer section of my local library as a relatively new release. Before I read it, I saw a comment you m

German maker Laura Kampf is doing a video series on restoring a a 140 year old house. It turned into a much bigger project due to water damage that destroyed large parts of the wood frame and stone work. It’s interesting to watch if you’re

I discovered this album probably 15 years ago, and since then it’s been one of my consistent go-to albums for when I need to focus on some work. Music with lyrics is too distracting for my brain, so I need instrumentals. This is a great one

A Jupyter notebook would work in much the same way, and has the advantage of being able to mingle Markdown in with the code. Neither is as approachable for a non-programmer as the OP, however.

Kind of, but the source here is someone who has been at Microsoft a very long time. Given that he didn’t put any qualifier around this story about it possibly not being true, I think it’s more likely that it is true. If this were J Random B

Just to add to that a bit: early in this conflict there were airborne tankers flying in patterns near the border, along with V-22 Osprey aircraft. All with ADSB transponders on. Periodically the Ospreys would disappear from ADSB for a few h
