I would argue that Bayes Theorem is taught in high school basically conditional probabilities and inferences. The issue is that applied Bayes Theorem is not taught. What do you do with information given with the data at hand?

I've used it sparingly but recognize that I should be using it more. It is really powerful for cleaning up messy data. I'm not sure of the stack but I did reach out to one of the developers about being on HackerNews. Hopefully

Perhaps there is no leap forward in long haul trucking. Yet there are many supervised machine learning products in the market and doing well (Tesla autopilot, iRobot vacuums, etc). I bet the founder can find a niche that could be marketab

There are a lot of optimization software tools available. One of my favorite is GLPK which is a free software implementation of AMPL. I created a employee scheduling framework for GLPK. It's listed as one of the examples in the down

Unfortunately for this data analyst NoSQL is alive and well. It is being rolled out to enterprise levels without the downstream impacts fully realized. This requires all sorts of ad-hoc ETL data methods which in turn puts more time and st

Yes of course. Yet usually it's focused on their product or service and profitability. I'm guessing since a public benefit corporation would have a different focus that is more end-user facing.

My belief is that instead of being shareholder focus that RStudio, Inc. is going to be customer and end-user focused. I'm not sure how this is held accountable. I suppose in the near term it would be a public relations form of accoun
