This is why a lot of subscription websites (which this was, apparently), don't display ads to logged in users. A small dedicated audience looks like click-fraud. Adsense and the like is best for drive-by visitors. I did that even with my ow

I agree. Simply writing my own scripting language once taught me a lot more than I would have expected. Now I use Lua, though.

I always wondered why a box flashes around the ducks whenever I took a shot. Now I know. Although I certainly perceived it every time, not just when there were multiple targets (which is what the article claims). I don't recall perceiving t

I've only really started using it recently, and I can watch an entire Doctor Who episode at full quality with only 4 bars of service (iPhone 4). At weaker signals the quality drops before it buffers (I'd honestly rather it buffered). Of cou

For the record, I watch Netflix over AT&T 3G all the time, and it works very well for me.

Definitely true, but you need to determine if the blog post is adding value to the discussion, or just sensationalizing it. The world is full of people who can borrow a few lines and blow them out of proportion, but we should (and do) expec

Fair enough, but the official guideline is as follows: "Please submit the original source. If a blog post reports on something they found on another site, submit the latter." I think PG sacrifices a lot of clarity for some cleverness here,
