But then… alchemy never produced gold right? So how we expect this thing to ever produce gold value. I’m sure the alchemist OpenAI of 12th century must’ve also had very high valuation.

One cool thing about writing, something we all very much appreciate around here, is that it does not take sounds. But I can see this applied to duner ordering where you got refugees working in foreign countries, cause GPU consumption rocket

This all token business is very shady, and the whole probability theory. You add token here and there and magic happens. Discreet math people can not take this lightly. Stochastic regexes is one thing, but this on a completely different lev

With the forthcoming winter of synthetic content, we may easily find ourselves, in the coming few years, forced to resort once again to directories a-la AltaVista and Mozilla's. I really see no way Google would stop their ads activitie

Cool that it runs on Amiga. I’d love to see a local store use Amiga based UI for the warehouse. Also the fact it was started as another project in 1994 makes it double cool.

Have you considered using a sort of SAM (segment anything) for the bounds and then OCR for the text and finally run it through LLM, which is a good predictor of text, to figure missing words or typos (wrong chars).

It is useful and perhaps very useful for journalists and other people who use it onetime. It is very ill suited for massive automation at the moment, and that’s a real problem everyone struggles with. The application of embedding vectors wi

Well, Torvalds says in the interview ‘we already have tools such as linters and compilers which speed up the work we do as part of software development’ I get the impression he agrees this road to LLM content is inevitable, but also kind of

Potentially many things like session mgmt, queues, document graphs, etc, can be done right with simple facilities like tables. Tables represent sets, and set algebra seems very common in data representations. Thing is how the sets are combi
