Is this a case where the plaintiff actually crossed the border, or an exclusion zone case where he just happened to be within about 50 miles of the border?

This is one case there the HN policy of using the title of an article as the title of the submission is inappropriate. I nearly missed this article because it didn't say "White House Response To:"

The "probable cause" exemption is bullshit. If you have probable cause, get a warrant. No patrols, no police drone leaves the ground without a warrant targeting a specific person or group.

This is a rather silly analysis. Open beats closed over a longer time scale. It's an overall industry trend, not a scoreboard for individual companies.

This may sound weird to say, but I'm starting to think that most of Apple's problems come from the fact that it is a hardware company rather than a software company. In a very real way, it seems that they don't get software. I think it

Created in 1977, Make has its quirks. But whether you prefer GNU Make or a more recent alternative, consider the benefits of capturing your workflow in a machine-readable format. Like a programming language?
