At first glance I don't think you can achieve O(document size) without some form of preprocessing. Each word in the vocabulary has to be looked at, so a natural lower boundary seems to be O(document size + vocabulary size). Also it is uncle

For me the biggest misssing feature of all approaches to online folder synchronisation (including Dropbox, in a sad way) is secure backend encryption. For me, this includes an open source client and a free choice, where to store my files. I

To me it sounds as if the reason for the music not sounding like total crap is, that the author uses pentatonic scales, which are also used in improvisations. ( http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pentatonic_scale )

Every time I read about the X-th "clone with Dropbox's functionality" I wonder where it will store its files. How many of the potential users have access to online storage they really control themselves? Instead of having the files on Dropb

For Ubuntu (and probably most of the other distros) theres a keyboard layout switcher. I'm sure there's something similar for windows and almost every browser. You can use those extensions to rapidly switch to qwerty layout when needed.
