My data is mostly from having driven around longish trips on the West Coast where I expected it to be a much worse experience than it was, between the bath room breaks, food, faster charges when empty, etc. If you haven’t tried it, I don’t

That’s why the phase out is for a long time and involves public subsidies. I have ridden in cabs that were owner operated that were electric already. TCO was better for the owner despite their great cost consciousness. And a lot of poorer p

For sure. But “stopgap” isn’t keeping a car for twenty years despite the flooding and storms and heat waves and that sort of thing over those decades. Moving some stuff to hybrids for a while isn’t a terrible idea. As well, moving some trip

You might want to look into the science a bit more. The carbon burn is already having consequences all over the place. Transportation and energy are about 65 percent of the emissions, and solar, batteries, and electric vehicles are pretty s

I wouldn't find it acceptible but also I don't do that. Like people said more like 15 minutes. There's some art to it - don't charge to full during the trip, and to reduce your trip time, reduce your velocity to lower t

I can go longer and I could force the kids to go longer but the overall mood is crankier than with more frequent stops. This isn’t really an EV topic but a philosophy of life topic: do you plan to have a relaxed time or do you push thru to

Google is a complex system so “want” can just include we are making money from the blog spam and while we don’t like it other things take priority over fighting it as effectively as we could.

Is there a cite for that? (About true in all models implies provable?). This post is the first I have heard that but it seems very significant.

It is the sort of thing that people aimed for in the 90s, when there was more velocity in c and c++. If rust lives long enough the rate of change will also slow down.

It's the volume problem - I'm happy to read handwritten pages of my mom's diary from the 1960s, but the reams of laser printer out put from her master's degree in 2000s? Not so much.

I'm taking a masters in mathematics, and for me the steps are at least three-fold: understanding what you are trying to prove, which is mostly thinking about it and maybe reading or talking to people; picking up pen and paper and proce
