Charging $.50 + 5% would mean that every $1 app would now give a 55% cut to apple and every $2 app would still give 30%. I believe the majority of the apps are $1. So I think this scheme simply increased the total Apple receives overall...

You gave an example of price fixing, not anti competitive behavior. They don't have to meet up in a secret room either for it to count. If they are constantly adjusting their prices to all be exactly the same, that is illegal in the U.

It seems like they are able to take existing blood and modify the type so that even people that aren't universal blood donors can still have it used on anybody that needs it.

Eliminating competition isn't illegal. Creating monopolies isn't illegal. Using a monopoly in one industry to negatively affect businesses in another industry or gain a monopoly there is illegal.

I could be wrong, but I think that's more because of restrictions from the countries themselves than Apple. I don't think Apple would put unnecessary restrictions in if not for the legal requirements from various countries.
