Sounds more like covering your ass. Instead of hiring some startup, get a large company. It's not your money, and if the startup fail,s you don't have a real excuse. If a giant corpo fails the project, it's not your fault.

I don't see the issue? Get on a toll road, pay for a ticket, done. Drive on a normal road, pay for gas, done. I guess you could make it extremely specific, but then the problem isn't the surveillance, but the price of the cost ana

That's kind of the negative take. The positive take is that work should be automated whenever possible. The endgame is having everyone enjoy life and only working when we want the 120-inch instead of the 90-inch TV, or enjoy working. I

We have some of that, but it's not the whiteboards. The dev one gets used multiple times a day in a room with only developers. No management, no power structure around. It's my general experience, also in prior workplaces, that so

It takes forever to make a beautiful diagram, but the usual flow is that you have your presentation for the base idea, and then when the questions come, you can all grab a marker and start making a mess on the boards around the room. We als

Doubt. The meaningful work in person is organisational, and it's only marginally better onsite due to whiteboard > Excalidraw. Who does what, how it'll all interact, architecture, etc. If an LLM can code the difficult bits and

I've seen it as well, but for me, it'd be better to have premade images, and Valve can make images that interest me and aren't too cringe. It's not a massive business, but it's probably good side money since many ba

Doesn't sound like the bad part to me. If Masimo wanted to, they'd have offered them the same or more to keep them, but they didn't. I don't believe an employer has any right to expect other companies not to offer positi

That was my disclaimer, but I do prefer, regardless of what works on GrapheneOS, having a QR in my invoice letters. You could shine a light on the envelope and likely read it without opening, but having anyone be able to touch their phone t

They could probably make decent money with card graphics. I'd probably pay a couple bucks for a Gaben or an R6Siege card. Much more interesting than metal cards.

I couldn't get a wallet app to work with GrapheneOS, so for me, QR codes are better, but they feel like they have different use cases. I like QR codes in mail invoices (very common in CH), I'd like NFC in a shop if I could use it.

That's a weird spin on it. Young people are curious. They watch weird porn out of curiosity, the same way they watch gore. Hiding it isn't going to do them any favours. They'll get it from sketchier places instead. I know the

Uni graduates do that still. I wouldn't trust myself to set that up either, as a matter of fact. Optimally, you'd probably have seniors do some "Security Compliance Certification" and the company do it, then the product

Not too often tbh. You either get dogshit LeetCode or, more often, just a general chat about what you've done and know. There, social skills play a massive role. Make simple projects sound like state-of-the-art, present everything cool

Even in that context, I believe you could provide semi-anonymous verification. You just need a weaker encryption of sorts. One you can crack in a month instead of never ever. Then have that shit rotate, and the government can invest money t

I don't think one excludes the other. I want DRM-free games, but I would also like a launcher like Steam, so I don't have to manage my library most of the time. For example, I have 1000+ games, of which I only care about, let'
