I’ve had multiple accounts going back to at least 2013. People make new accounts all the time.

Well, you’re a CTO (going by your handle) and Daniel is an open source engineer, so I’d say personally probably has something to do with it.

How has it been going back to a hybrid schedule? Has it been worth it?

I’m definitely more productive in office. I can look at the work I produced before and after WFH and there is a stark difference.

I’m doing the same. After my year is up at my current job (I can’t quit because of the sign on bonus), I’ll be looking for something that is at least hybrid.

My first foray into big tech was met with a culture that disallowed any private discussion. If I had a question, take it public and see what people think. If I had a complaint, take it public. It was terrible and I hated it. Sometimes I jus

I took a year long sabbatical during COVID (been back working for a year) and the taste of freedom has made me really not want to work anymore.

I really don’t understand why people are so bothered by Sam’s statement.

So, what does being a prompt engineer pay these days? And how do you find a job doing it? Edit: maybe I should have kept reading. > Anthropic, founded by former OpenAI employees and the maker of a language-AI system called Claude, recent

Maybe that’s because Matrix sucks for a usability perspective and nobody cares to split it.

I have an ADHD diagnosis and completely agree. The process has become soul crushing. If left to my own devices I would find plenty to do and I would enjoy it so so much more.

10 year olds don’t know that porn isn’t real. I’m pretty sure seeing the stuff I did when I was 10 had a massively negative impact. I’m pretty sure it scarred me in some fashion. I’m fine now, but it really did a number on me seeing some of

I’ve worked in tech companies that had Christian “diversity groups”. Not a lot of software engineers in those, from my experience, but they are decently sized.

Faith in God is an assertion about the journey as well. I can’t speak for everyone, but a lot of us believe that God works actively in our lives. Not to mention, the journey gets a lot better when you realize what’s at the end.

My thoughts would probably be different towards this if we weren’t sending kids to school with predatory lending practices. (hence the administrator comment)

The fact that you even made this comments makes me feel like you’re compelled to push your beliefs on others. You don’t know anything about me. Like I said, as a Christian I feel like an outcast because I have to deal with assholes like you

If someone wants to learn how to write an essay they can more easily look it up on the most vast interconnected knowledge base that has ever existed. I don’t understand the continued need for knowledge/educational gatekeepers.
