The cost is already estimated with junior-levels in mind. If you want the A-team to be present all the time, say it upfront and surely proposals will be changed.

You must be new to FB blockings. Our company has a website ranked in the top ten most visited websites in our country, and FB just block the domain entirely from FB systems without any explanation. They only unban us recently.

Since disk space is not much of problem this day, why don't we just pre-process the images? I know this only applies if you know in advance which sizes you want, but do you really need like 20 different sizes of an image?

It's the same as using your private SSH key to sign in to your servers from different devices, you can choose to generate a new pair of private/public key or just copy your private key from old device to new ones. But reuse privat

The immediate question that popped up when I first see their project's homepage is "How is it different from Bootstrap? Why should I use it?" I looked around and they don't offer an explanation, so I left and continue to

If you need raw performance, have a look at WebNX, they are specialized in high end dedicated servers, boxes with Xeon E5 and 64GB RAM are in the range $150-$200. I find Softlayer or Rackspace quite overpriced. There are many other smaller

I think it's pretty much de facto standard that you must disclose first hand before you sign the lease contract whether you rent the place for living or for business. Subletting is not always forbidden but you have inform the landlord befor

Tip: You can use KeyRemap4Macbook [1] to map the stupid eject button on MBP to delete. And if you use vim, you can map Escape to Delete and vice versa. Very useful. [1] http://pqrs.org/macosx/keyremap4macbook/

Do you use proprietary nVidia driver? I have only ATI cards and the difference between open source driver and proprietary driver is world apart. With radeon I have +2 hours, with fglrx it's ~4 hours.

Exactly, setting up a mail server is not hard. What's hard is that you have to keep your server secure; have to make backups, and make sure that backups work; have to troubleshoot problems when mails are not delivered, god knows how much ti

$140 for a second gen i5 and 8GB of ram is pretty reasonable. A $20 VPS is only for pet projects. For a startup it's worth it to invest in a/some dedicated server(s). Having some redundant firepower of dedicated servers so that you don't ha

Sure, that's why I wrote "online (display) advertising", which often has its cost measured in CPM, not in CPC, so CTR doesn't matter. This shows advantages of CPC ads over traditional display advertising and partially explains the success o

It's a problem of information asymmetry in the online (display) advertising industry, not a problem with hackers. Because advertisers don't know how many pageviews/visitors a website has, advertising agencies often have to make purchasing d
