> This place has an enormous problem with pricing and economics I think the worst example I ever saw was someone implying that a copy of a digital photograph should (!) only cost £0.0001 as that's the cost of hard drive storage.

You seem to be implying that markup applied above production cost (for any product and for whatever reason) is immoral. ("Inflated" or "inflation" is the wrong term anyway but it makes no difference here)

> Let's be honest, men's romantic liberty in choosing mates is often proportional to economic success. Possibly the kindest way I've ever seen that phrased.

> what I thought was a very well done support email for this feature Sure, it has the right details in it, but this kind of faux-friendly tone comes across really transparent and off-putting to me.

A reliable "tell" that a source is attempting to manipulate you is when they quote any percentage greater than 80%.

This is one reason I cannot use virtualenv in production. (Also because the build process for your project involves accessing the internet. Yuck.)

The main beef I have with geckoboard is a litany of embarrassing unresolved bugs but these features sound pretty cool. Am trying out your API tutorial right now.

Can you tell me why I should move from geckoboard? (Not being snarky, I am not very happy with Geckoboard)

The whole point is that third-party source code can change without your knowledge (or permission, etc). Or, worse, the third-party can simply be hacked.

Embedding a credit card field using third-party Javascript sounds scary.

I'm well aware of that and dislike these types of laws. But my point more was that it was presented as if because it was illegal, it was ipso facto immoral.
