There are nice IRC clients out there. I don't use them and I haven't used them in a group, because even in programming language communities many have moved to Discord/Slack, but I would prefer working with multiple simple too

100%, the fact that you can literally pipe some data in a command-line IRC client is 1000x more conducive to such tweaking than using custom APIs/SDKs long live the Unix model!

Wikipedia says 260 years: > In 2021, the United States Geological Survey (USGS) estimated that economically extractable phosphate rock reserves worldwide are 71 billion tons, while world mining production in 2020 was 223 million tons. As

Everybody should check out Joe Dispenza's work with an open mind. He basically teaches people to use placebo consciously.

This looks great. It really is peak computer UI aesthetic, I know there are other contenders (Motif, BeOS), but I find this strikes a perfect balance.

Bulgaria has a very low vaccination rate (27%) and the curve doesn't look that much different from the US's: https://www.google.com/search?q=bulgaria+covid It does seem better, but can we know for sure to what t

I can see that in theory, but when you look at the cases curve in the US pre and post-vaccination you can't really tell there has been a "huge" effect, I would even call that a failure, frankly if we had given everybody enoug

Admittedly these are preprint studies, but it seems the analogy with bulletproof vests doesn't hold: Vaccinated and unvaccinated individuals have similar viral loads in communities with a high prevalence of the SARS-CoV-2 delta variant

Is there any reason to believe being vaccinated means you're less of a breeding ground for variants? Surely it's not 100%, and if it's not, new variants will always come, including gradually evading vaccines, no?

I too was interested in HammerFS. Thanks for the perspective, I'll ask around here at some point about DragonFly users, they must be out there :).

Nothing too bothersome, newer wlan I suppose will be available soon enough, but I just found out that Docker isn't working ATM. Anyway, I really want to use FreeBSD so I'll probably go ahead soon-ish :). Thanks!

Did you try DragonFlyBSD? It had some really cool features. I wonder how it's doing these days, and if it's equally viable as a daily driver.

Do you find issues with software not packaged for FreeBSD? How's the Wayland situation? I'm a NixOS user, I have a strange attraction to FreeBSD for years even though I used it only briefly (it sounds silly but running "top&q

Thank you! In the event you see this may I ask why not stick with Figwheel? Does ShadowCLJS do the job just as well? I remember Figwheel being impressive and it seems maintained.

The politicians follow the epidemiologists and the modelers etc. On the contrary, we have a case of a lack of politicians courageous enough to say no and lead / convince the people that it is the right thing to do.
