Encypt it offline, copy paste the encrypted text+signature into the GMail compose window. Unencrypted never hits the DOM (unless the recipient has an extension that decrypts in the DOM).

I think the difference here is that Facebook will categorise all the content. in effect they will manage what goes into the Tech or news or Creativity buckets. You just say which you want to see by default.

Those cases are US cases. Given this thread concerns UK law, it might be better to find equivalent UK cases that establish this. (Indeed, the lack of previous UK cases is why the threads link is so notable)

That would require a deterministic/reproducible build process. Such things tend to need the same host-OS, library versions, dependency versions etc that AFAIK Truecrypt haven't got documented anywhere. See the efforts of Tor Proje

Actually the slidedeck states that Tor Browser Bundle defeats some of the attacks they use that plain Tor+Vidalia is vulnerable to. And if you're referring to the previous Freedom Hosting attack, that only affected users of TBB on Wind

You forgot to mention choosing a country that doesn't have an extradition treaty or similar with your own. So for me in the UK, it would rule out most of the EU and North America.
