Right, but which part of the dev/design process is it taking over? Do you guys see divshot taking over production ready front end development the way Balsamiq (and the likes, arguably) took over pen & paper? Given the predecessors to di

Who is the target market for what you are describing though (or for divshot for that matter)? Is it meant to be for slightly less technical people? Is it meant to take over all development/developers in the future? Being a seasoned develope

Of course Android can be beautiful if you showcase a few screen shots created by some very talented designers. After spending the last 4 years as an Android developer, its clear that the platform falls short in two places at the intersect

Are you implying that even very complicated software hasn't become easier to write over the past 15 years?

I personally think the 2, 12, 20 time frame is too short. Although 2 is probably too aggressive, I really think that this type of movement will happen within the next 5 years. I hope I get to be a part of it.

I can't help but wonder if this is one of those "bail out" style acquisitions we hear about. Although it's mostly conjecture, I had definitely heard rumblings of them not doing well as of late. I hope the team and founders did well with thi

He's been trying to learn how to code, so we all just told him the best way is to build something you want. It turns out he built something a lot of us want. Cheap cereal. Needless to say I was pretty impressed with his first project.

Great post Vin! A great story and inspiration for everyone who is grinding hard in the startup life. We all need a little reminder that its a slogfest before you make it.

Hopefully it will help some other android devs that might have had a similar problem. I'm happy to get more detail into the code if anyone is interested.

I am very much against the idea. I do think there are valuable excercises where you work in a pair to do software design, however the idea of sitting behind the same computer for 2 days with the same person does not sound great. That being

I'm pretty surprised that the topic of immigration and work visas hasn't come up in this thread (unless I missed it, if so I appologize). - I for one am very curious about laws around foreigners coming to Amsterdam to work, securing work vi

Interesting article. A couple of examples that I think have phenom ideas came to mind while reading it. TaskRabbit & Uber Cab both straddle the online/offline experience and seem like they will do pretty well.
