I stand corrected, thanks for the info. Cloudfront doesn't appear to support multi-part uploads however, which I guess is the primary value-add of the newly announced service.

You can't upload through Cloudfront. It's a good analogy though, you can think of this feature as a "CDN for uploads", if you'll excuse the abuse of the CDN acronym.

Voice recognition, AI assistants, self-driving cars, virtual pop stars, real-time machine translation. I find these to be quite reasonable predictions, they were just off by 25 years or so.

As the sibling comment to mine points out, the fact that the instance has access to S3 means it's not actually secure - they could just use the aws-cli to copy the file back down again. My comment about deleting the file from disk was
