I think the coverage on TNW is better than that of TechCrunch's: 20 years ago today, the World Wide Web opened to the public http://tnw.co/piYgdv What will the Web be like in 20 years? http://tnw.co/r6jnd3

The one thing that continues to surprise me is that this still hasn't been removed!

They had me nailed! Sort of embarassing.

I'm getting really sick of the stupid Microsoft remarks. I'm a Mac / Apple guy through and through, but it's just so annoying all the people saying things are going to shit the second M$ gets them, even though when the problem obviously has

I've always thought a Kickstarter for startups / websites would be such a brilliant idea, but not feasible. This guys idea sounds fantastic, but I think the whole registering in Malta wouldn't be too appealing.

Man, you are so, so wrong. You should really learn to respect design so much more. You'll get the same quality designers off 99Designs that you will coders off eLance
257.
by lachyg 15y ago
This is pretty silly; all designers should be good designers, but most specialise in different mediums e.g. you usually wouldn't hire a print designer for the web, or a web designer for an iPhone app as they don't understand the HIG.

I'd argue TechCrunch is a blog, rather than a consumer startup (after all, it started with Michael Arrington alone -- and grew from there).

So we launched Cardnap a week ago to the day. We've seen a LifeHacker article, and a TheNextWeb article. This post marks our official 'hard' launch. We're now profitable, and have started integrating all of our 'Review our Startup' feedback

You might be better off letting potential buyers know more about how the buying / selling process works. I would narrow the support down to 3 months max. What're the current earnings, etc?
265.
by lachyg 16y ago
Agreed with Josh. You need to look into the potential ramifications of working on it whilst you're still working where you work.

Hey Aaron, loved the article, although my comment is unrelated. If you press cmd+ on your computer, it makes the font the perfect size. Might be good to increase it by 2-3px? Makes it a lot easier to read.
