To me 50% of this show was Dan Benjamin. Without him it will not be the same show, even if Gruber is the main draw card. Sad to see him leave, but I'm more interested in what is ahead for Dan. He has a great network.

Do we seriously need a blog post on "why" she was fired? I think this is blindingly obvious... Yahoo is now a shell of the company it used to be.

I'm sorry but I lived an extremely rural town for 10 years with <20k people and all of these thing were available. I'm not convinced these are exclusive to cities.

Let's not forget that the industrial revolution was all about mass production. Read about adam smith and his essay on mass production of the pin for more details. I don't see this freelance revolution as anything close to mass production. Q

Funny, i've been meaning to finish a blog post on this exact same topic. I actually think the freelance revolution will be a reversing of the industrial revolution. The industrial and neolithic revolutions brought the masses together to for

It's interesting how most comments on this thread have no issue with the fork, yet most of the comments on the blog post are very much against the fork. (Strange considering they are mostly from the WordPress community).

Totally agree, not to mention its very hypocritical considering WordPress itself a fork of B2. It seems to me that people are happy to embrace GPL when it suits them, but condem it when it doesn't suit... When you build on an GPL product yo

Well that certainly took less than 6 months - http://www.facebook.com/videocalling Any guesses as to how long it takes for Facebook to copy G+ circles?

Very good point. I assumed because they looked very similar that it was the same person, but quite possible that someone else did the designs. Definitely very similar elements in UI though. "Hertzfeld, who has been working at Google since 2

Really disliking the red, it stands out way too much and implies urgency. Seems like a really bad UX choice to me?
