That’s why I stick with Oort cloud computing. It might take 22 days to get the request back, but the chance that anyone can see that data is astronomical.

You should be able to build a profile of a person based on adtech, credit score, and social credit score/surveillance. With enough data on everyone we could easily determine intent with AI. Though for some reason minorities always have

How often do you play past 1750? That’s when the 5 second month ticks happen for me. Also 2-3 seconds between clicks in the macro builder when you get 3000 provinces or so, methinks some algorithm is quadratic. Restarting the game helps.

Definitely not from Paradox. Europa Universalis IV is 10 years old now, still getting regular DLC releases, and late game is still unacceptably laggy on 2023 computers. Like, 20 to 0.2 fps.

What about the pan-African and Mesoamerican traditions of enslaving everyone? Slavery was pretty much everywhere in the world. Then Christians invented the idea of not enslaving fellow Christians, then Muslims did the same (which really hel

Often a problem in politics is that people are pretty inelastic when it comes to what they want changed. They want a program fully funded or not funded, a tax issued or no tax at all. A small wealth tax will be seen by foes as a stepping st

The more hardboiled the detective story, the more they are willing to seek non-socially sanctioned retribution. It's kind of funny because Father Brown partially refutes both parent and GP: the police never arrest the right guy, and

Honestly detective fiction is perhaps the worst format you could give for your example, because the structure of the story allows you to essentially tell a different short story with different characters every time. Moody Twin Peaks has

It’s actually about unkindness. Kind people would give others the benefit of the doubt. This is the type of kindness you see from politicians, where individuals are aggressively attacked due to some microaggression to a group.

While I appreciate the sentiment behind this new account, it’s also feeding a troll. Anyone equating SF to Soviet Russia is not looking for reasoned argument.

I’m okay with companies that don’t want to comply with this law not doing any business in California. Other companies will pick up their sales.

That’s what I meant. Twits, twats, and all of that stuff is part of the language now. X is so stupid you can’t make fun of it, really. Comparing Elon’s X obsession to thirteen year old boys is not funny because it’s self-evident. None of ou

If lots of people regularly make fun of your branding, then you have won the branding game. Your brand awareness cannot be higher, and you have joined the hallowed company of Micro$oft, Mickey D’s, Tarzhay, Whole Paycheck, and WhyCombinator

Voter data is already protected by California law; it’s already a crime to disseminate voter registration information for non-political purposes. Please stop with this FUD that is just another voter suppression tactic.
