Are you saying all of those users whose browsers are crashing on a large scale are going to say no? Also, are you implying software should send telemetry to the mothership regardless of users' will? There used to be a time software was

Depends whether you are China or Vatican. Perhaps a per-capita calculation would be more appropriate: 1/day global = 1/day / 7000·1Mp = 1/20y per 1M people; 5/1y per 100M. USA should do a lot more, Africa can get a

AFAIK the usual cement types do not release CO₂ during curing, though a significant amount of CO₂ is released from the ingredients while baking. Sometimes the released CO₂ is reabsorbed when curing (lime). What type of cement are you talkin

I don't really understand. Are you saying Google is creating a media platform based on image search and they should somehow find a way to pay for the images in it? If you want to use an image that is not free, you should go pay for it,

Is it just me, or is the linked example messed up in all sorts of ways, even ignoring the use of monads and transformers? Looks like a novice trying to code in fancy ways. For instance, it defines a Beer datatype, yet stores a plain Int in

While one would agree with your list of desirable non-equilibrium phenomena, the need for more power or less people is non con-sequitur, as you fail to show how the listed things require more energy than our current world consumption. AFAIK

Are you sure the blade is properly tightened? My Wilkinson requires some force to properly tighten, slightly bending the blade, at which point it's firm, sticks out less, at a different angle, and it's not as easy to cut myself. O

It does, slightly. Pressure change 20 mBar = 2% of absolute atmospheric pressure -> about 2% balloon volume change, with corresponding 2% internal absolute pressure change, while keeping the same low differential inside-outside pressure.

IMO, absolute pressure doesn't give much of a perspective. Car tire pressure is about 1.8-2.5 Bar. Your 2000 Pa atmospheric pressure change is about 20 mBar. Pressure in an inflated balloon is about 2 mBar (0.002 Bar). Noctua's st
