Are you perhaps talking about services owned by Match group[1]? Though Grindr is not on the list, so maybe unrelated services are the same. [1] https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Match_Group#Dating_services_ow...

Note that I am not against using python in mission-critical code. I was referring to untestable code with a myriad of edge-cases, in which case you have a problem that will surface sooner or later, be it 2to3 transition or something else. I

If you have a liability situation, maybe you could work to rectify it, instead of blaming 2to3 transition that's shaking up your house of cards?

As someone who does a decent part of development in python, I'd say you are using the wrong language, if you can't test your edge cases and have huge liabilities. Python code is inherently almost-untestable and fragile. These days

Maximum power takeoff seems reasonable, and unexpected 10% power loss would be a very good reason to abort, but I don't see why you couldn't trade (stable and safe) 10% power for 10% runway and clearance, maybe some weight, altitu

AC specifications are usually in RMS equivalent voltage so 1A 10V AC is same power as 1A 10V DC. This makes the peak difference larger, not smaller. AC is easier to extinguish (0A current 100 times / s), and I believe the reversible di

For security there are much more important aspects than memory security (memory safe is better, where Rust is probably on par with Python and Ruby). While I use neither Rust nor Ruby, they seem to have a very different attitude towards expl

This might work. A big issue with paying for disposal is the motivation to avoid payment. It's hard to get people to dispose of trash responsibly. If they had to pay, we'd be surrounded by illegal dumps. I think there should be di

Have you considered bringing an AP closer to the client? Especially on 5GHz a good line-of-sight / line-of-reflection is very helpful, and some extra 10-20dB of signal should compensate for a lot of interference. OFDM MU-MIMO AX 2000

If you want physically accurate averaging (resize, blur etc), then RGB is fine, as long as you use linear values (or do long-winded transformed math). AFAIU it is by definition 100% physically accurate. As was said, sRGB uses gamma values,
