Homemade cloth masks could supplement social distancing and help prevent asymptomatic people from spreading the disease. Where I live, we have a long way to go to perfectly implement social distancing. Given the severity of the pandemic, an

The article didn't mention cloth masks. Not the protection of medical grade masks to be sure, but they do lessen the probability that the wearer will infect others. Which will slow the spread.

I really like that you can see the doubling rate. Would love to be able to drill down by county but that would likely be a PIA to do as would most likely require finding and integrating lots of different data sources.

If the public used cotton masks, it would help and wouldn't take masks away from health care workers. If this were more normalized, the rate of spread could be lowered.

Gluten free does not escape a negative reputation. There are many people who follow a gluten free diet because it's somewhat of a fad, and there are many others who, as a result, don't take it seriously. As someone who is gluten f

People often mock gluten free labeling for products that should either be obviously gluten free or are not food. But the range of gluten sensitivity does vary, and there are people who react to gluten in cosmetics (where it can be added). T

I practice Buddhism. The primary practice of the sect I follow is to chant. When I chant, I feel better mentally. I have seen others do the same. I doubt that a scientific study has been done on this. I have no idea how you could do that an

Agree about the business model. I don't think all places can meet all requirements, but those who can meet more of them will get more business. Still, from what I know as a consumer about the restaurant business, it's an extremely

Outdoor seating as you described works in certain seasons and in certain locations. Not very practical where it gets below freezing. Little Caesars may be high quality for you. It's poison for me. Doesn't matter how clean it is. N

I agree about supporting takeout now; I'm focusing on independent restaurants, especially Asian ones as I fear they are having the toughest time now. Local publications have said this takeout business isn't much help right now. Bu

I order lots of stuff from Japan, from Amazon US from Japan-based sellers. It's taken anywhere from a few days to two months (my last purchase). So I didn't want to risk it. Didn't find Japanese sellers of masks anyway.
