And the only pertinent clause would be in the GPL (the CDDL doesn't care), regarding if ZFS were a derivative work of Linux, which it plainly is not. All this "GPL and CDDL are incompatible!" is nonsense.

Huh? I've been a part of many class action suits and received many hundreds of dollars. Better than just giving up.

All that matters is Angular and Vue are based on the outmoded logic-in-HTML paradigm.

This. For languages with a good module system, it's almost trivial to use modules either in-process (e.g., monolithically), or out-of-process exposed via HTTP or some other network interface (as microservices). Then the discussion beco

Promises enable async "stacktraces" though. With just callbacks, when an exception is thrown there is not the complete "stack", and little hope of debugging.

Interesting. I didn't know g.711 was so low. Typical VOIP latency must then stem from D/A and A/D conversion and internet latency.

The Opus codec ( http://opus-codec.org/comparison/ ) can enable very low latency audio. 26.5 ms algorithmic delay (the time it takes to go through the algorithm) by default, but can be set to a very impressive 5ms. Dig

That is a very interesting point and it sounds like a similar situation occurs in parts of Texas. Without an efficient urban grid (walkable, cycleable), or a practical car alternative, like rail, buses, the outcome may be you can set prices

The notion that road pricing is a regressive tax on the poor smacks of elitism. The hidden message seems to be "poor people don't have anywhere important to be." But lower income people were surveyed an they in fact desired r

That just means they aren't pricing it properly. I would still argue that prices should be set however high whereas to eliminate congestion, even it is seems "too high", simply because there is a limit to how many lanes can b

Well, buses and rail attack the congestion problem on the demand side, while tolls attack the problem on the supply side. So they're really complementary.

This is what is done in Minnesota. Pricing is dynamically adjusted every 3 minutes to keep traffic flowing at a minimum of 45mph (in practice more like 60+mph). When there is more traffic, the toll is priced higher. Electronic sensors monit

I built https://github.com/llambda/agilegps on RethinkDB. The atomic changefeeds made it easy to have real-time updates of tracked vehicle's locations. Though it might be possible to do that with listen/notif

I just want to nitpick about Node a little bit--as a Java developer and Postgres user myself--because there is more to Node than just async JavaScript and I think it gets a bad rap a little bit because of that. Async is one good quality of

Interesting train of thought. So if I understand correctly the gist of it is that it starts to becomes so costly to fix Python than to use another language that already has threading...so why not just use another language.

Great news. So this means Ubuntu, Debian and the new Redox OS now have ZFS. I would love to see it officially supported in Fedora too.
