Bouncers are really "Set it and forget it"... Pings show up - if you desperately need phone notifications there are many apps/solutions to deal with that too. (but lets be real...nobody ~really~ wants notifications outside of

It's even more miserable that it's the de-facto standard where I'm at currently.

Skype for business is a train wreck I'd rather see them abandon that and work on something new.

I'm sure OP was using bots as an example - IRC bouncers exist ,and if that's too technical for you then there are multiple other solutions.

I haven't met a single person (unless they were ~really~ non technical) that enjoyed using slack. It never works the way I expect it to work, and very simple things that you can do within IRC takes multiple steps in Slack.

Were the forms essentially a "Change Request" form?

This is nice - but...I'd rather not read/support paywalls by reading their content.

News to me that MS is launching a new product. I hate slack to begin with, but after using 'Skype For Business' my expectations are pretty low with this new product. I'm assuming it's going to fail much like Yammer did

I wish there was a community input based Spotify playlist - since I generally use that for all of my music needs across devices. I do realize many people have different tastes, but most of the time people can find a happy medium. Here is th

I'm also curious - I find that location plays a much larger role than price (for me). I'm more inclined to go if it's closer and pay a little more. I still dislike paying as much as I do though.

Some projects choose to use Gratipay. If you take a look at Gratipay's website their goal is to provide voluntary payments (and eventually a payroll system) to contributors for open work. Any team/project can apply to join Grati

What sort of meditation do you practice? (Are there different types) What is the general idea behind it - and how would one get started at this practice?

Have you ever felt the need to try to change positions to try to learn more about the non-work use languages that you know?

How did you get into/find side-project ideas? Ideally I'd like to work on something others could make use of, but I've been having a hard time thinking of something interesting to work on.

I'm just trying to learn all the in's and out's of my work language then I'll start branching out more. Being stagnant as a developer is something I never want to happen.

I'm just starting my career as a dev, but my first language in school was C++. At work I use C# - but I hope to keep learning more languages. The main thing I was worried about initially was being stuck with one language my whole care

Ah yes I would do the same possibly - but Amazon Prime is $99 a year and offers has many more uses. After the 12 weeks I assume it automatically signs you up for a year/monthly subscription and you have to remember to cancel it. Also

How do you get to the point where you can easily switch between "High Paid Professional and Dirtbag On The Beach"? As someone just starting his career this concept is slightly foreign to me. Any general tips?
