Even though I don't believe in the metaphysical, one could argue that the brain is just a tool helping the soul manifest itself physically and a broken brain is just bad at doing that.

Gun ownership doesn't mean that guns are carried around. Many countries allow owning guns but don't allow people to walk around armed.

I haven't tested it but if as a user you were to ask for your days to be deleted they'd have to comply, at least in EU. So if there was a mass walkout a lot of comments and post would disappear.

Bit too late for that I believe. This one wasn't going to create a monopoly since Microsoft is not anywhere near being the largest provider in the gaming industry.

if that's the case then why are they going after 3rd party apps? If they are a niche among the user base then the benefit of killing them is hardly worth losing moderators who've been doing work for free.

Not that ambiguous actually, the rule as I understand it is that it should be as easy as it was to opt in to give the data.

Note that GDPR requires that it's actually easy to delete your data if needed. Hiding the way out if a service is also an offence.

Probably can delete them via your profile on Microsofts website, otherwise this is a clear Gdpr violation.

Amd socket AM4 supports 5 generations of Ryzen processors. AM5 came out with 7000 series and it will be supported by 8000 series as well. Upgrades are easy and give a significant performance boost.

Had bad experience blocking some sites from working completely. Especially social media. It was years ago how are things now?

There is still no worldwide availability of all streaming services which keeps piracy for media going. For example I have no way to legally access to Disney+, paramount, hulu or peacock content. I'm happy to pay but can't.

Better memory management. Seems to be handling the same workload with less swapping than window 10. Did an in place upgrade so my workflow and setup was exactly the same.

Some of the posts in that sub reddit go to the extremes. Probably wasting more energy re purposing than actually saving by not replacing.

Yeah I read everything written in the Revelation Space Universe. Also Chasm City is really good.

Most people don't understand that what separates us from anarchy is a glass wall that once broken animal nature takes over. Even people who would be considered reasonable in a civilized society can devolve into criminals quickly when p

And even after those 5 years the phone is not a waste because most things on android are apps that update independently without an OS upgrade unlike ios where to get a new browser engine you need to upgrade the OS. Firefox supports android

Google either doesn't want to compete with android OEMs or doesn't have the capacity to manufacture devices at scale. There is no other explanation, their phones are decent, cheap in comparison to similar models and have good soft

3 years life span is questionable considering pixel 7 and 7 pro quality issues (falling buttons, cracking camera glass)

Android and ios update cycles are different because on android most components are upgradable without OS update. Most notably the browsers get updates longer than 7 years and they tend to be the biggest security concern.

SMS here is used for spam and 2FA. Even the government and utilities companies use viber for many things.

huawei seems to have found a way around google since they were restricted from using it.

That's a good theory, could also explain why pixel devices are only available in only a small part of the world population.

Of course they would. What I said was hypothetical but if it could have been done it would be a market disruptor.

If this was around the 1200 price point they'd be selling like crazy. Chewing into the premium android and iPhone share. Google would have been a trend setter with foldables if they offered a lower price.
