Residency not citizenship. A country's laws apply to anyone in the country not just its citizens. Technically if you are American visiting EU the DSA consumer protection applies to you the moment you land.

Not popular but usable now they allow any kind of application and not just "modern apps". Main benefit that applications update automatically but even though I do install apps via the store I don't ever remember finding apps

"Your phone" feature still works. Apps don't run on your PC but are displayed on the PC desktop from your phone. I have a Samsung phone and use this feature dialy.

I think the issue is with auto-focus lenses. Manual lenses have been available. Did some searching and looks like Canon is now licensing to 3rd Parties to manufacture RF lenses but none made it to the market yet.
