I agree. You don't even need the Actiontec router at all with FiOS, at least for internet - I plug my Airport Extreme directly into my ONT and have had zero issues with this setup.

The score is still a number. It would be interesting if the score, too, were a color.

Interestingly, it's about 270 miles, just outside the quoted range. I might be able to make it by hypermiling, but I fear that Tesla's numbers are under ideal conditions. If it were cold out, or if I were going faster than 55 mph,

A $95K Tesla Model S has plenty of range to qualify as a single car solution but it just costs too darned much money. Even assuming I can get the advertised 265 miles from the Tesla, it's still too short, especially consi

It's similar, but different. With Threes you combine 1s and 2s to make 3s, then similar numbers to double them. Also, the tiles in Threes only shift at most one spot at a time - with this game, everything's flung to the other side

You'll need to request the image directly: curl "https://gotofail.com:1266/test.png" curl on OS X 10.9.1 fetches the image without complaint, while curl on Debian is correctly reporting an RSA padding

I cross-post my Twitter posts to App.net with IFTTT. I'd like to use it more, but I'm not satisfied with any of the desktop clients, and most people I want to follow are still active on Twitter, meaning I need to follow both. I st

Even still, there's a difference between random chit-chat and the bank representative looking into your transaction history and making comments on it.

Same here. One time a Simple rep made a comment about how they liked my employer. While the comment itself was innocuous, I expected them to have a bit more discretion when going through my transaction history.

I agree. I posted this elsewhere in this thread, but I want to say it again: If police officers are officers of the court, judges should have the authority (and use the authority) to strip the officer of the authority to act as an officer.

I disagree with this because I think that there's a lot of cases where a free or very cheap app makes sense, but maybe they could do something to better surface the IAP pricing. I think metrics like the average amount of money spent by

I'm curious what the licensing costs are for their Microsoft stack. Stack Exchange was in BizSpark early on so they got a pretty good discount, but they can't be anymore since it's been more than 3 years.

This makes me feel better about the 4 HGST 4TB drives I just bought ( http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16822145... ). They were the cheapest 4TB 7200RPM drives on Newegg by a non-trivial margin.
