The author provides no examples of "Anti-patterns" that should or should not be called anti-patterns. He just claims it's derogatory and is critical to people's opinions. To quickly label some solution as an anti-pattern

Ok, I have to admit I've forgotten people actually (need to) do development/debugging like that.

Because git reset --hard is kinda dangerous, I've resorted to managing my changes with other safer commands. I undo changes with git checkout. Sometimes I stash and forget. I only use git reset --hard when I have accidentally committed

Your resolution problem with electric drums is not MIDI, it's your drums.

There is something wrong with your workflow if you have to use git reset --hard nearly every day.

Doesn't look right if an article starts by introducing git reset and git reset --hard.

The only solution probably is to learn to hum or sing with the correct frequencies based on what it displayed to cancel the sounds of the display. This skill should be included in any IT security curriculum.

Each of the real Rogan samples had some detail that didn't sound like AI could reproduce it. The AI samples were much more monotonous.

The natural world is filled with horrible pain and deaths. These do not add to that in quality. Maybe in quantity.

Certainly that may be the case but at least with this strain that didn't affect the viability of the organism.

> Abstractions usually empower their user, ORMs remove power. That is an opinion. One could also consider that the fact that you can use programming language to model your database provides a lot of expressive power.

I agree it's not the end of the story, but without that knowledge, learning git is almost impossible. Even with DAG knowledge, some commands are hard to remember.

The cost of nuclear disaster in Fukushima was only a small part of the total cost. There were zero deaths caused by the accident but about 20 000 deaths from the whole disaster.

I think you are right about the DAG. Once I understood what the high-level data structure of git is, many branch related commands immediately made sense and it was suddenly very easy to use. Many of my colleagues haven't taken the time

I wonder what 1 million lines of COBOL translated to Java looks like. Let us stop and give some caring thoughts to the people who will maintain that code base.

This is not a rank of which language is "better". It's merely about usage. I'm sure there is a lot of documentation and not that many "gotchas" in Java for that to be the reason for searches by Java developers.
