Wow, didn't remember how inconsistent the Linux coding style is. Or all C basically.

But people seem to think that and they have a reason. When apps replace web content, they quite clearly have something to do with the Internet. Web is part of the Internet. Isn't this obvious?

Why would that - whether it's physical or not - determine what kind of licenses you can attach to the product?

Some of these are not emulators, they are just code translated to Javascript, or e.g. compilers written in Javascript.

What is this? Of course he stays more concentrated than most people when driving a car because one doesn't have to have that kind of concentration when driving a car. Most mistakes while driving a car are not fatal.

Doesn't sound weird at all. If I would be writing a book, I would like to direct what kind of photos it includes.

Good question. My initial guess: it is easier for predators to detect/catch fireflies that blink out of sync with the rest of the flock. If all blink in perfect synch, it's just a big flash of light to the predators.

Your car buying analogy is flawed. When you buy a new car, someone has built it for you. It's cost effective because the manufacturer builds a great number of them. You can be fairly certain that it works and if it doesn't you

So you're just basically listing everything you know about Unicode and then state that every software developer MUST know the same. That's bullshit of course.

Yet you can package and reuse code without introducing the cost of distribution!

Module is an overloaded term in software engineering. The most generic definition is just some bunch of code packaged somehow with a well defined interface. Ruby has its own kind of "modules": http://ruby-doc.com/d

But again, why? Making them services means distribution and that has a cost. You must have some reasons to make them distributed. You should first consider simply having the isolated domains as modules in your application monolith.

Why don't you install the 2013/2015 version of TFS and use git? It's included and fully supported.

Indeed, nothing in Javascript _language_ indicates that is has to be single-threaded. Then the author continues by comparing this with C and talks about threads. Again, nothing in C programming language indicates that it's multi-thread

It's really sad that Amiga retro ecosystem always tries to put a price on everything. For example, MUI is still "shareware" with some silly license files. Come on, give it away as freeware or open source already! UPDATE: htt

I think it's not fair to say that "soft tissue survives". These stories are all about bone. When you look at a piece of fossilized dinosaur bone, it's all rock. What the first article (from 2006) discusses is the work of

But clearly many here understood it so that there is literally intact skin and tissues that could be used to extract DNA. So the word "intact" was misleading.

Sorry, I don't buy it. I've seen countless cases where developers conclude that "compiler has a bug" and it never ultimately did. There are also cases where they never bother to figure it out, change the code a bit and c

I wanted to try the examples. Installed MIT/GNU Scheme on Windows. It gives me some heap errors. There's a bug open about this from year 2010. I despise GNU software.
