Ok I stopped reading when they started drawing graphs how well the people using certain editors fared better in their test as if the editor could have anything to do with it.

I have to admit you're right. It's just that it's not very common to see a user interface simulation. One usually encounters simulations of some low level phenomena.

I think your definitions are spot on. To add a little: sometimes emulation can be achieved by simulation.

I don't have a confusion about them. However, you are right, this can be called a simulator since it simulates the Amiga user experience on a very high level.

They are not that well defined concepts. I'm well aware of what they are thank you very much. I have implemented my share of emulators and simulators.

Sounds like a huge effort just to get Rust in. I predict huge problems for the Firefox program if they continue this mixing. It's a huge added complexity.

Well the gimmick is that it looks like an emulator/simulator but isn't. The OP merely pointed out where it fails and shows the cracks.

This looks very realistic but it's really just a fake, not a simulator. I had an idea some time ago of implementing the relevant Amiga ROM libraries (intuition, graphics etc.) so that the calls could be transferred to browser DOM. The

I have an Amiga and C64, so I'm very familiar with the art form. Again, I don't understand the value of combining them in one font. I can understand implementing each of the respective fonts as modern fonts, but not this.

Well, I know it very well. I just don't understand why the ugly glyphs need to be combined into one font.

It's a bit unclear why this exists. It seems to combine glyphs from 8-bit computers and place them in Unicode space even though the standard doesn't define many of them. I guess the reason is to be able to combine them in some &qu

There's usually zero chance I want to use any other editor than the one integrated in my IDE. People generally don't want to use different editors for different types of files.

What do you think that "proper memory management" was? Linus himself implemented virtual memory support with paging to disc in Linux version 0.12 (Jan 1992). This made people to switch from Minix to Linux. Maybe you mix it up with

That was always a bogus and boring argument. Was then and is now. I don't think Microsoft ever claimed that they have a different kernel. It was always clear they have. Windows Server includes a lot of OTHER SW, other than Kernel, that
