but without syncing is basically unusable, or can I access my texts from my pc and my cell for example?

I don't get it. The pricing page only lists paid options. Not a free tier. What am I missing here?
246.
by kwanbix 1y ago
So what do you suggest instead?

by kwanbix 1y ago
It doesn't matter. Most people go with the defaults. If your default is ugly, your app is uggly.

The problem with LibreOffice is that interface is so ugly. And no, I am NOT asking for the ribbon, which I think is a horrible idea.

Love that they are coming back. I still think Pebble 2 Duo is a dumb name.

Jira's raise to power is one of those things I would never understand. Such a horribly designed tool. Today is much better, yes, but it is so over-engineer and at the same time lacks so many things.

What is crazy is that they probably pay less taxes (percentage wise) than you and me. If they pay any taxes. Warren Buffet was famously quoted saying it was otrageous' his Secretary Pays 2x's his Tax rate. https://finan

One thing I appreciate about Apple's strategy is how streamlined their product lineup is, unlike Lenovo, which offers an overwhelming number of ThinkPad models. Many of them are nearly identical but marketed under different names, whic

What exactly do you mean by "not MacBook quality"? Aside from Apple’s M-series chips, I’d take a ThinkPad over a MacBook any day. The T, X, and P series ThinkPads are at least on par with MacBooks in terms of build quality. I will

I really love my Dream Machine. Super reliable. What I don't like that much is their UI. It is super weirdly done. It is not natural to use, at least if like me, you use it once every 6 months or more.

I use Mercado Pago as my bank account, so I don't need to deposit anything as long as I have money.

by kwanbix 1y ago
While it is a private service by a company called Mercado Libre (which means Free Market), in Argentina we have Mercado Pago (which means Market Pay), has instant payments and it is free for 99% of the people that do P2P transactions. It is

While I know what you mean, money is one positive thing. The rest, you only realize the day google blocks your account because some stupid AI flagged a picture and they think you are a risk and kick you out.

If you transfer between accounts is free.

In Argentina we have Mercado Pago which is basically this.

So? You still have to work 80 hours per week, don't get health insurance, and if you get really sick you go bankrupt.

As much as I love the US, now that I have lived in both paces, I bet that quality of life in EU is much, much better for 90% of the population. 40k pickup or not.

Germany. Spain should be the same.

Side note: After 10 years living in Europe, I moved back to my home country and started looking for remote jobs in the US. It's wild what the US calls “quality of life”. In Europe, I had 6 weeks of vacation per year (from basically day

What competitors? You mean a "Jesus Card" issued by Visa or Mastercard? At this point, it's basically an oligopoly. The only other real player is Amex, and they're a very distant third.

I hate W11 to the point that I am still running W10 (IoT) on my machines (I also run Solus and Mint). That said, I have never experienced what you say in the first paragraph.

The full price is 48+tax, so 44+tax for the upgrade sounds wrong. I personally use Mint/Ubuntu with XFCE which I found it to be the closest to my work habit and the closer to Windows (I use both Linux and Windows). About ZorinOS Pro, I
