I would also like to give thanks! I just use in on my home-hosted site for personal use, but it was such a breeze to set up. I could have used a self-generated cert but I feel this is much safer, and saves me from having to install the cert

I know this is probably a joke, but I really can't imagine it would be good at that at all.

I'm not an expert by any means, but yes you could put Batman on a shirt and sell it. I'm not sure how it works for movies, but with audio the actual recordings are still copyrighted for some time after the music itself is in publ

By the way, with backblaze you can specify your own key. They just can't help you if you forget, and you loose all your data :)

I have a very similar experience. Switched to using Nightly with DDG, and I'm in IT so I search quite frequently. The browser is super fast, and container tabs are amazing. I'm able to find nearly everything I need, and only use G

Only thing about embedding is that videos can be removed at any time for any reason (or no reason at all). Plus having the downloaded videos make it easy to load up on an iPad or similar device for offline viewing on long trips where intern

I guess the problem is I value amount of information I can fit on the screen vs. quality of the information. Also, apps that don't scale properly are a pain haha.

I guess I just don't see the point unless you're gaming, watching g 4k content, or doing graphic design. I tested out a 4k 28" and unless I had it at 200% scaling couldn't use it for longer periods of time. Sure it looks

I agree that having higher PPI is great, but are you using scaling to make text larger? I was barely able to use a 28" 4k a 100%, can't imagine doing that at 24"

Just purchased two 1440p monitors and I love doing work on them. 25" and the PPI is just perfect for me. Anything higher resolution-wise requires a much larger display to be readable at 100% scaling. I'm adamantly against using sc

I think the open-endedness of Minecraft isn't for everyone. When I started I just enjoyed exploring and trying to make fun little houses/buildings/etc. Every world gave way to a new landscapes and designs. The cave systems in

Not sure what you're downloading, but have you ever given youtube-dl ( https://rg3.github.io/youtube-dl/ ) a try? It's got support for tons of other sites than just YouTube. It doesn't have a GUI, but it&#

I agree with your sentiments, but to play devil's advocate grabbing music from youtube protects you from DMCA notices from your ISP, is always available (no having to wait for seeds/peers on more obscure music), and is much safer

I used to use Google Play Music, and it was very nice. But for anyone who has a reaaaaalllly big library I might suggest something like Ampache ( http://ampache.org/ ). It's totally open source, has a relatively decent w

Yeah I used to be a huge Redditor trying to constantly keep up with the memes and funny content of the day. After quitting it made me realize how much a slave I was to the platform and how much I needed my hit of random funny crap. I used H

I use the standard keepass 2 client on my windoes machines, and keepass2android on my phone. Clients only access the file via ssh to my server at home so it doesn't require storing the database on other machines.

I'd assume that it's mostly for convenience really. Here's some things I can do with KeePass that a text file doesn't do: 1. Auto-Type 2. Access with mobile phone 3. Advanced search; by username, site, password, etc. 4.

I love using KeePass. I keep the database file at home and only use it remotely with a plugin to allow accessing it via SSH so that the file is never (permanently) stored on disk. I like to think that this is even more secure than other met

I think most of the time I just assume it's #1 and then check into the issues to see the number/severity of the current problems and if any important things are being neglected.
