How is mastodon someone else's system? You can host your mastodon server just like you can host your email server or matrix server. And other mastodon servers, just like other email servers, can of course still modify the data they rec

Cat 7 with RJ45 sockets is standardized, which is ideal for running it in walls. Sure, you don't want to use it for patch cables, but over long runs in walls it's a great solution, especially due to the better shielding of Cat 7

If that was the case, that'd be great. I don't necessarily care how something was achieved, as long as the software engineering and architecture was properly done, requirements were properly considered, edge cases documented, test

Let's assume that's true — I'm just bad at using AI. If that were the case, everyone else's AI creations would have a significantly higher quality than my own. But that's not what we observe in the real world. They&

A lot of IoT devices use this strategy, actually. A lot . Significantly more than are using e.g. WebUSB. Nonetheless, by that same argument you could just kill HN off. A lot of projects have a benefit that far outweighs their raw usage num

You're just clinging to definition while missing the actual issue. For the 737 to compete with the A320neo, it required much larger engines. For those engines to fit, they'd either have to raise the landing gear and redesign the a

Considering the low ground clearance is one of the major issues of the 737 today (which lead to the whole MAX disaster), you'd have to replace the landing gear, and with that you'd also need to make changes to the airframe itself.
