With my son we hooked a python API to minecraft, you can then write some kind of bot. He really had fun with it. Being able to see things in a 3d world he knows with 2 lines of code is what got him hooked. He learned python to build things,

Nice. I often use pgf tikz but the syntax is very convoluted. I like how Penrose separate substance from the rest.

I always put my seatbelt (feel naked without it), but I deactivated the ringing in my car, otherwise it's annoying if you have a bag on the passenger seat.

I did that for about 10 years from 2000 to 2010. The part about "being part of the furniture" is really on point. It is incredible how little they think of you. This has a side effect, they thrust you. Ebanking logins, emails, per

LiveATC is crowd sourced. You take a radio, put it on your desk and stream that to their site. To get decent audio, you need a big antenna on the roof of your house or be in the air, like aircrafts. I'm a pilot and even on very old pla

In a roundabout you nearly always need to reposition your hands. At least in the smaller ones there is around here. And the turn signal is important, because many roundabout have 2 lanes, and if you are in the inner lane, you really need to

I think here (europe) the turn signal must be orange and separate from the brakes. But you still see some imported american cars from time to time.

Just to get this right. The turn signal is actually "on the wheel"? So it turns with the wheel? How is that even a thing? How are you supposed to press the button if you are in a curve? The roundabout example is a good one, there

While I agree with most of the points, I think the most important one is: your time is precious. Spending hours setting up things is are really high price to pay for something that might never be of use.

Yes, but my "poping" I mean something intrusive. Like someone slapping you. I'm ok with sponsoring, placing products in movie, having ads in my mail... But, having ads being thrown at me when I work and search for something i

That's surprising to me. I hate ads. If I see one poping I usually blacklist the product. When I want to buy something I do technical comparison and try to find genuine reviews.

I hate captcha, it takes ages and I often fail the google one. I would happily pay to have them removed from my browsing. I don't use AliExpress often, but now I can't as the captcha just plain doesn't work.

There is a valid philosophy behind this, but the arguments are a bit flawed. For ezample CSS is not only styling (as in theming) it is important for GPU animations and is hard to sync with app state ans JS without some tooling.

I am not sure as I was a software engineer on those and it was a few years ago. I would like to say cost constraint but I do not really know. But the mechanical engineers seemed way more confident with the single motor.

It really depends on the motor (stepper, closed loop BLDC...). It can help in some configuration but with bigger motors, there is a lot of inductance and EMI and it is very hard to drive them from the same wires. You usually have one supply

I have worked on designing small machinery, 3d printers and cnc routers, and on some axis, we use two motors in sync for movement. It is very reliable until it is not, we had times were programming errors or driver failure would unsync the
