I really hope this will change. I am testing elm now and I think this kind of approach is the future. But it saddens me that we had "proper functional languages" for nearly 60 years and it took all this time to realize their benef

Yes, the Mac has good consistency. But I am very pleased with Windows window management and multimonitor support. Being able to resize multiple adjacent windows with a single drag is really nice. The window+tab and alt+tab shortcuts are com

It is getting more and more useful. Microsoft is really working on it. I am using a VM for now to be sure to get 100% linux environment working. But I hope to be able to do all my dev work in Windows in a few months. There is one thing miss

I had a hackintosh build that was working really well for two years. At the time I would never had considered windows. But I did the switch to windows about 2 months ago (using a linux vm as dev backend). And I surprisingly had zero issue.

I've been working with react for a bit more than a year, and I am trying elm. I think elm is the best thing that happened to the web in general. It's really daunting at first, but I highly encourage you to try it.

I am not saying the secret should be in the code itself. The app generator could generate a .gitignore including another dotfile with the secret in it. Or print a message on how important it is to configure the secret properly. My point was

Too late, I moved away from Apple. My current setup is Windows as desktop and I log in to linux for dev via X11. I am still testing the setup, but so far it has been a very positive experience. I'll share my complete setup on my blog w

I live in switzerland and I have a liebherr fridge and Schulthess washing machines. Mine are new (I moved in 7 years ago), but I know they will last. Everything I've seen while traveling (hotels...) seems super crappy compared to that.
