I don’t. Slippery slope is always a fallacy until it affects something we want to conserve. There has been a huge push for an absolute lack of censorship in games, so it’s… pretty predictable that we’d see the pendulum swing back, I guess?

I’ll never get over the hypocrisy of people loving steam and its exclusives while hating EGS and its exclusives. I’ve never seen an almost purely tech-focused crowd pull so hard for a monopoly before.

I’m saying they’re pretending that they’re more moral than him. They aren’t, of course. Hell, for a tell-all book, it was extremely benign. Flouting minor laws, not taking care of his health, and being mean? Ahh! And I’m not surprised that

Do you give credit when people are brave enough to admit they have… positive traits? Why would someone even bother with saying that stuff? “Everyone, I’m bravely showing you my spotless record” is really not an impressive showing. Being wil

Nothing I’m saying implies I don’t think they’re speaking how they truly feel. I absolutely believe they genuinely believe them when they say he’s some kind of monster because he didn’t get chemo (???) and was rude to people and took up han

It's a very difficult balance to strike imo. People do take niceness and humor as signs that you're not quite as "professional". Of course, other people don't make this mistake, but we don't live in a vacuum

That's pretty dumb. There are literally thousands upon thousands of companies you purchase from every single day where this happens or has happened. Why do you only care about Jobs? Answer: because he was the only one brave enough to

And seeing as how time is only something observed at the macro level and is still completely unexplainable scientifically, you're really hitting the nail on the head here.

It's not similar to this at all. There is still a safe direction which exists - if you could reverse your fall, it would take you back to the plane. There is no reversing your "fall" into a singularity. "Out" no lon

One of the more mind bending aspects of this is how the horizon becomes inescapable. The singularity is the only “forward” that exists anymore. You cannot conceivably go anywhere else. Every direction becomes “in”.

I think you might have a slightly off-kilter view of what I mean. Regulation is not inherently good. Large corporations will often work through lobbyists (I don’t think anyone can deny the incredible access powerful lobbyists have in the US

We didn't have vaccines millions of years ago, so we didn't evolve with them. We've always been eating, so our bodies literally evolved completely around resource acquisition . Why is this such a complex concept for so many?

I think many people confuse simple with easy. It IS simple to reduce your weight. There are like, two things you need to do. It is, however, VERY hard to actually do those things.
