They are dialects. Swiss German isn't a language but a group of dialects, but they aren't closer to high German than Czech is to Polish. I think my point stands that it's a distinct language from the official one. It definite

In German speaking parts of Switzerland people speak Swiss German. The official and written language is high German. Although loosely related, they are two different languages.

My personal hope is that the EU would make a plan to adopt English as the only official language. Now that UK is gone it can't be seen as unfairly promoting one country. I think the example of Switzerland shows that there is no problem

From the article i understood it goes deeper. It includes all official communication like job offers - not limited to public institutions. So you could be fined for having a position for "Product Manager" or "Test Engineer&

For me writing a regex is easy only if I remember the syntax, which I never do because they differ between languages and I only need them once a month or so. For me the fastest way is to ask generator to create a valid and not necessarily

I am personally rather against giving away solutions. The whole point is to solve the thing yourself. And as a hacker yourself you can probably write a solver if you really get frustrated and can't move forward. And as my previous comm

I think there is a difference between the pro-like competitions with high emphasis on the top competitors where high prizes make sense to attract and reward the best. At the same time at least Google Code Jam which I participated in, is an

I have won a couple of t-shirts in Google code Jam and got to the third round once. One year I was competing from my honey moon. I was never really good but it was one of the competitions I have greatly enjoyed. Especially when one could

My understanding is the weakness comes from the fact that convolutional nn are used and how the information propagates through layers. It's been known from the beginning that this kind of position (large cyclic hroups) is a weak spot

As a go player I fully agree. I have criticized the v1 exploit few months ago as irrevant rule glitch exploit, but this is indeed relevant and beautiful real go understanding exploitation.

The level 38 is my personal favorite. I have seen so many of my friends otherwise good at puzzles struggle with it. It's the first puzzle that requires two relatively non obvious tricks to solve. The first is bringing two pieces in th

The process evolved and I have eventually settled with something like this: *Step 1: Level Generation* Let's say I decide to generate 3-ball levels at 4x4 grid I do `generate_all_boards(width: 4, height: 4,max_obstacles: 6)` and it wil

Yes. I'm not 100% sure it's the right thing, but I have deliberately decided against hints. If you can't solve a level there is no penalty. You can skip up to 9 skipped levels and come back later to those which you find hard.
