Maybe, but there IS a whole pattern of suspicious behavior. https://forumserver.twoplustwo.com/29/news-views-gossip/garr... Additionally to me it makes much more sense as a cheat than as a legitimate play. Notice

As a go player I'm utterly disappointed. In all those games kataGo clearly won a game, KataGo knew it won a game and the adversary played terrible go. The adversary believes it won because it thinks it plays different rules than KataGo

I actually got 600$ from an online casino like that. (2007 iirc) I got free 50$ but had to wager 2k$ before cashing out. Played some slot machine, run hot and had 600$ by the time the bonus cleared. I took out cash from ATM a couple days l

In a sport of orienteering (quite popular in Scandinavia and Switzerland) having perfect sense of the North as opposed to checking it with compass would offer a competitive advantage. I wonder if anyone tried to develop that.

Though there is a sense of hypocrisy here. Europe used to be a one big jungle and the western Europe was first to chop it all and build their wealth on it. If now we regret it then those who did chop off all their forests should share part
