Simple answer my friend, so that they can use one chassis on both the ANSI and ISO models. Pretty standard practice in laptops.

Unfortunately, this is just wishful thinking. Take an example where a company is going under. If such a law existed, it would be unenforceable as the company does not have the resources and know-how how to do such a thing. After they file f

Just as a heads up, you could have used a PCIe m.2 riser if you had the empty slots for it. You might not be able to directly boot from it with an older BIOS/UEFI, but that is easily workaroundable.

I am surprised no top comment mentions this — on iOS, you cannot distinguish if you were granted a permission or not. As an example, if an app asks you for access to your photos, it will always get an array. The trick is that when you deny

So you are saying that because you, a presumably exceptional student since you mention being valedictorian, could afford to skip days at school, the same applies to average or below-average students? Could you elaborate on how you came to t

I have an even better one for you — if the language/region of your system is different, Excel parses the file differently. My example, Slovak region, numbers are officially written with a comma — 1,3 meaning a decimal "one point t

You can just edit the link into `i.reddit.com/<whatever>`, it still works on phones. Bonus, it uses less data and little to no js.

For me, it was happening for most of August. Each day, around 10-20 emails. They were mostly the same 10 emails, verbatim. It has stopped around 2 weeks ago. I have no idea how the emails could have gotten through. It was the most obvious S

Are you in the US? I seem to be having the same problem, but in reverse - Android-isms in iOS; I am in central EU, designers/client are from Ireland. It appears to me that they also do not differentiate between screens and modals and j

Maybe this will help you (and maybe I will just sound like a jerk shrugs ), but the pandemic didn't make you unfit and put on weight, you and your diet did. I have been struggling with this for the last few years and while pacing abou

It does not need to be painful. There are pens that require far less friction to write than ballpoints or pencils, namely fountain pens and rollerballs. Good technique helps too, e.g. writing with your whole arm instead of your fingers and

I would love to encounter these lenient admins/moderators. We just seem to be getting our app at work suspended all the time for the most random things. One time, the whole app was suspended and we needed to create a new app identifier

It really depends on what you want/need. Since I realised that I don't need to only have a single device, it just makes sense to me to have them separated. When you want faster wifi, you upgrade the access points. If you need rout

It would be best to run wires with APs to those dead spots. If that is not possible, make it possible. If it is really not possible, then you have the option of powerline adapters or mesh networks, but those are a mostly inferior solution t

It's not really features vs performance. I don't know where you are based, but here in Europe ISPs must (I think?) put the router into bridge mode upon your request, from which point you can use whatever you want and the box from

I have given up on trying to find a consumer all-in-one router/ap combo and just have a dedicated router and dedicated access points. You can simply block all the Internet traffic for your access points and you will have more options t
