Interesting idea, so the more they try to profit from the crud, then the worse it looks, so more players try to profit off their own crud before their crud becomes worthless, and so on. Presumably if that is true, there would be a threshold

That's why you have to change the rules first. It should require a much higher level of innovation to qualify for patent protection. And if we are going to grant temporary monopolies, then there should be the relevant resources to keep the

Question: Who really gave that order? Answer: Control. Question: If Control’s control is absolute, why does Control need to control? Answer: Control… needs time. Question: Is Control controlled by its need to control? Answer: Yes

The penrose tiling goes on for ever, but never repeats the pattern, a bit like a geometric version of an irrational number, so to make a propagating 'glider' out of simple rules similar to conway's game of life played out on that form of gr

Tell me about it. I went and bought a reprap. I now have a 3d printer on my desk that's priced well under a grand, that is cheap as hell to run and that is designed from the outset for making replacement and upgraded components for itself.

I don't mind having no call centers to call as long as the service works better and the network is smart. Currently, you are having to use a phone to verbally tell the telco where the problems are on the network they run, which is insane.
