Another vote for "go see a doctor." In addition to all the other conditions people have listed, anemia can cause brain fog and anxiety. This doesn't sound normal or age-related to me.

No. From the article: > In the past, a handful of patients who were getting similar treatments developed by other companies died from serious brain swelling. Although those sorts of complications did occur in some patients receiving CTL0

Do you have data showing that the schools are worse than similar schools elsewhere with the same demographics? The districts you list have been full of rich white people since forever.

Even that is not a forever guarantee. Laws can and do change.

Mental Floss did a fascinating profile recently on the scientist primarily responsible for getting lead out of gasoline. He was trying to figure the age of the earth, but lead contamination kept getting in the way. Eventually he figured out

Engine engine number nine, going down Chicago line. If the train should jump the track, do you want your money back? Y-E-S spells yes [N-O spells NO] and you are not it! (1980s, south of Seattle)

Yep, that's exactly what he meant: Here's how to get out of vi when you get stuck there, and here's how to undo the stupid thing you just did to try make your website work. For web stuff you usually do want 0644, or 0664 if t

Of course it's not good general advice. It wasn't given as general advice. It was given as a tongue-in-cheek *nix cheat sheet.

chmod 0644 is indeed bad advice in ~/.netrc. Similarly, [Esc] :wq is not too helpful at a bash prompt. If you don't know the difference you're not yet ready for the magic post-it note.

When I told my thesis advisor (in about 2001) that I was looking into backend web development as a career, he gave me a post-it note with the following content: chmod 0644 [Esc] :wq Best advice I've ever gotten.

I quite often call a house, or wish I could. We eat dinner with my mom most nights, and my grandma if she cares to come. "Whoever's there: dinner's ready!" is a message we have to send to their house, every day, and all

The this/that antipattern is one reason I dislike the class pattern. I avoid it by using prototypes: SomeClass = function (arg1) { // Hopefully do something more interesting than this, indeed. :) this.arg1 = arg1;

There can be a real benefit to isomer drugs. They get prescribed way more than they need to, no question, but that doesn't make them entirely useless. For example, desvenlafaxine (Pristiq) is the R-isomer of venlafaxine (Effexor). You&
