And Sweden at least has Google Store. In Poland we don't. I bought my Pixel 4 from German Amazon, which ships directly to Poland.

It doesn't look like it, they still release phones exclusively with face unlock. What security issues can it have? Fingerprint sensors could be fooled with less work. And fingerprint sensors don't work always (e.g. for me they don

Similar situation for me (but I have dry hands). Fingerprint sensors stop recognizing after about a week - so I prefer Face Unlock.

I think they could make it work even with masks. Just focus on the eye regions. Apple worked on it, don't know if they released it with iPhone 13.

I have dry hands and fingeprint sensors stop recognizing them aftere about a week (or month if it is summer season) - so it is really frustrating. On the other hand Face Unlock works always (well, unless I wear a mask, then it works just li

Not only at launch. Google limits Pixel sales/support to a small set of countries. Doesn't even include all EU. Strange tactic for someone wanting to sell more phones.

People will never learn. You don't preorder Pixels, there are always better deals on Black Friday (literally in few weeks, just a week after Pixel start shipping). Never take preorders, especially with Pixels. (learned that hard with P

Why do you think white people are over represented in tech (you forgot about Asians, which are there also)? Because they are interested in it. Just like some like math, others like sports. Why e.g. women are the majority of teachers (at lea

No Face Unlock, bummer. Rumors where that it will be in the 6 Pro, but technical specification doesn't mention it. So I'm staying with Pixel 4, yet another year.

OK, but there are dongles for that, I use one (the same one) for 10 years, since I got my first camera. Used it before laptops had sd port, and now use it when they don't have it again. No issues with that. In case of cameras there are

Yeah, I have one, but I use it so rarely since I had Pixel 4. I was also looking at wifi enabled sdcards, because I'm lazy and would like to get images sync themselves. I thought pros use wifi sd cards already.

LTS means active support (call/email to fix issue), what Adopt does is just builds from branches that receive commits/fixes from other vendors/people. They don't have TCK, they do their own tests on the builds. But you c

After 6 months you move to the next release, just like most people do with libraries, JDK is just another library, no need to worry about upgrading, just do normal regression like with upgrades of other libs. There are no major releases of

Exactly, I don't get it why people think JDK 12-16 are inferior in any way, this is normal software tests in same way as any other JDK version. The only difference appears after 6 months after release - if you don't want to upgrad

But if you don't buy LTS you won't get it. And many companies are cheap and don't buy - hence using JDK 17 won't give you LTS, buying support gives you LTS.

In most environments it is better to use latest JDK release not some old one. LTS is associated not with version number but with vendor that provides JDK. So if you don't pay any vendor then you don't have LTS, you just have a num
