Popularity of Electron proves that they are not easier. Even Microsoft wrote VS Code in it. I don't care much about Google but they did pretty good job with Flutter: 1. No special designer needed, you do everything in code. That means

You can copy some of their solutions. I always did my game UI by manually setting positions and sizes, but it should be easy enough to implement their basic widgets - Padding, Column, Text, Align, etc.

Flutter is a lot like Electron, but faster. Also, arguably easier to use. They don't have to support all of the backward compability garbage that HTML/js has.

I've been playing with Flutter recently and their approach may dominate UI toolkits in the future. They took low level rendering API from Chrome (Skia) and build simple but fast layout engine around that. Already works pretty well on m

Flutter is about simplicity so I doubt they are planning any designer tools. And IMO, designers should stick to their favorite tool, and leave implementation details to programmers. Hot reload makes it easy (and IDE is not required for that

Qt is not easy and it is not very pretty either. I mentioned fast because Electron killer has to be fast.

Show me these killers. My requirements: 1. Multiplatform. 2. Easy to write in. 3. Fast. 4. Looks good.

Rendering to native components is a dead end. It creates huge surface area for bugs to appear, and it's slow. I had a "pleasure" of working with Xamarin Forms and interactions between native UI, behaviour difference between A

You equate getting fit with building muscle but for me it would be doing these crazy positions like dragon flag or planche. Not sure how much barbells can help with that.

Good job. Js is cancer. As a Swift developer I would never use it, but Dart actually looks nice. Have fast is Dart 2? I heard here that it enforces static typing, I assume for performance reasons.

For lazy/shy people like me I recommend bodyweight fitness. Reddit has some nice community for that. Various core drills and stretching (back bends, lounges, squat) cured my back pain.

Maybe I should have been more specific. Ideal UI framework would generate HTML+webassembly for the web target, but native code for native targets. Alternatively, there would be smart browser engine which can strip itself from unused modules

The main enemy are Electron apps and this kind of framework would perhaps eliminate them. Also I would prefer my flying car with autopilot over airplane.

Ideally we would have UI framework that can target both web and native. Or maybe some kind of next gen HTML that is targeted for maximum performance (like webassembly is to javascript).

It's supported by default. You just need to hook up your buttons correctly. Games may have a problem though.

I was using something similiar for my Siemens SX1. Who would have though that this 15 years old phone was equipped with such next-gen technology.

Well if you have a dumbwaiter, then you can just use some external service to do the washing. Disregarding security and privacy, big apartment complexes with these dumbwaiter could actually work, with shared storage space and and laundry sy

Can recommend. Not sure about physiological benefits (although by common sense it should at least help with dental health), but it feels great to be able to control food intake like that. And first meal of the day tastes much better.
