The general performance loss with the DX12 -> Vulkan translation on Linux especially with Nvidia hardware recently had the cause identified and will hopefully get solved in the near future. It has to do with descriptors and how Nvidia ha

That's a fair criticism, although once you learn how to access the documentation and where to look for/expext it I find that most things, including add-on packages and whatnot, can be learned from within Emacs itself just fine. Bu

Huh interesting. I'm guessing it might be one of my clients then because I haven't actively enabled it again myself, fine print or not.

You can only "pause" your watch history, as they call it, for some reason. And I keep having mine become unpaused constantly which I find interesting. I'm not sure if it's one of my clients doing it automatically or if G

It should be noted that most office building will have some form of air conditioning, as well as many other indoor public spaces. It's just in people's homes it's uncommon.

Of course, but there are some oddities in tool use compared to other industries. At my job we use Perforce for version control for example, which I think is more common in the game industry than other solutions for whatever reason. Naturall

I tend to use Bottles only for applications rather than games for some reason, but it works well for both. What I like about it for that use case is that it almost encourages adding multiple apps per bottle. This makes it quite easy to have

Same with older floppy disk formats. Using FAT16 (or FAT12 on some systems) you can often format DD 3.5" disks to 830K instead of the usual 720K. On the Amiga the same disks are usually 880K.

I definitely bought an RF adapter for the N64 to be able to plug it into my old crusty TV at the time. But indeed, it was something you deliberately had to buy at that point and composite inputs were the norm.

It seems to try to name the outputs based on the hardware name, but with multiple audio devices it can become quite confusing indeed. I've resorted to creating a wireplumber[1] config to rename things more reasonably and also disable a

Which is strange because 240p and 480i absolutely looks worse on them than on an SD TV. Better than a flat panel though to be fair.

No there's still no new production of those, as mentioned in the comments. It's kind of a shame. You can adapt a DB-25M to fit a DB-19F by cutting some of the hood to size and removing the extra pins. It's not pretty but it w
