Did you see that there is a thoughtful seven minute audio interview with the author of the article? That's the content I was posting. I found the original article interesting too.

I like this bit on using multipane layouts to be flexible on both tablets and mobile: http://developer.android.com/design/patterns/multi-pane-layo... Good advice for rich web apps too.

As a geek who's now trying to start my own company I can say that conversely, just being a geek who knows how to build things does not make success easy either; other skills matter too. I have gained a much greater appreciation for product

Though the article claims to be targeted at users running on linux, most of the the info is still quite useful regardless of the platform - just figure out how to install python and and pip and the rest is pretty platform agnostic.

I'm taking the ml class right now, thank you! Everything you say is absolutely true, enrolling in this class vs watching some videos is like night and day: - a large number of other students who are at the same cohort helping each other -

I like the artist hub, and streaming / syncing offline of my library. But I really don't like the absence of a subscription option to listen to whatever I want. I can't imagine paying nearly the price of one month premium rdio or spotify

What it really means is that with each person you allow to "volunteer" for you are opening yourself up to liability that they could sue for back payment of minimum wage if they ever became disgruntled. Same goes for people who work for swe

That's pretty cool that Jobs was willing to meet with Page, particularly given how miffed he was about android. One area where I hope Google doesn't follow Apple is in engineering culture. For instance, isn't it true that most of the engin
