Codex has better quality and way more usage, but Claude Code is more pleasant to interact with and use in a lot of tiny ways

Agree, but SSH agents like 1Passwords are nice for that. You simply tell it to install that Docker image on your NAS like normal, but when it needs to login to SSH it prompts for fingerprint. The agent never gets access to your SSH key.

That is an amazing summary. It might not seem that amazing, but I feel like I've read pages about this, but nothing has expressed as elegantly and succinctly.

Yeah, but remember how joyful we'd have been if copyright had been this weak in 2003. As long as this flows down to regular people instead of just corps, then copyright won't halt societal development as much as previously anymore

It's not exactly the same, but a lot of owners of weird TLDs have got hit with insane renewal fees,.hosting went from $20/y to $300/y overnight. Also, some TLDs directly speculate on having very low prices for the first year

Yup: https://steipete.me/posts/2025/shipping-at-inference-speed I've also seen later tweets of his that also confirms that codex is still his choice.

Not only that, his output is insane, he has more active projects than I bother to count and more than 70k commits last year. He's probably one of, if not the best, vibe coding evangelist. https://github.com/steipete

A shutter sound I kinda get, that is simple to implement, but how is a video audio signal supposed to work?

People are allowed to mourn the music styles of previous decades even though the same music genres are still being created, not just popular the same way they used to be.

Yeah, and you are sugarcoating it - the stereotype is that some programmers actively dislike socializing is a stereotype for a reason.

It doesn't support TrueHD Atmos (UHD Blu-ray Atmos in other words). It also doesn't support FEL. That said, it supports JOC Atmos (the streaming service version) and you can convert all your TrueHD Atmos to JOC Atmos easily.

I live in Oslo, Norway, and it's insane how much more pleasant parking garages have become to use in the last 10 years.

Half the US takes pride in pollution though, and despise efforts to reduce it, so that's not gonna be the case everywhere.

That's just normal US modus operandi. The court case against Maduro is allowed to continue even after everyone has acknowledged he was acquired illegally.

So unless I'm reading this incorrectly, DJI can keep selling existing models forever in the US? The US just can't get updated versions of drones?

That is actually a gold tip. Codex CLI is way less pleasant to use than Opus, but way better at finding bugs, so I combine them.

Windows 10 is outdated, not recommended at all. Just install Win11 Enterprise and get your favorite LLM to give you instructions to remove the stuff you don't want, after like 15 minutes it will be totally cleaned for perpetuity.
